helpful service delicious cake port arrival cute vibe
i really enjoyed the complimentary port on arrival, such a nice touch! the staff were helpful, giving excellent recommendations. the daily cake was a good treat. the overall vibe was very cute, i felt right at home .
i did notice that some of the breakfast crockery had a few chips! though it wasn't a huge issue.

The room was spacious and airy. It had a beautiful design. i noticed a perfect mix of historic elements and modern touches. the stone wall and parquet flooring were lovely features, complemented by the led lighting.

Really good Stay with Attentive Service
helpful staff convenient location
The staff was consistently helpful and spoke fluent English. The hotel is conveniently located near the river with multiple dining options nearby. I appreciated the clean room. I slept very well. The hotel is indeed right by the river, with easy access.
I encountered an issue when I originally booked in March 2024. The full amount was immediately taken from my credit card. I chose to pay at the hotel. I wish this initial payment issue had been handled differently to avoid that inconvenience.

lack of air conditioning street noise
the breakfast was fine (especially the pastries).
our room lacked proper air conditioning. despite reporting this several times, the staff said it couldn't be fixed due to the season. we had to sleep with the windows open, but the street noise made it difficult to rest.

charming stay by the river
cruise dock afternoon cake
the hotel sits right by the douro cruise dock, a very convenient detail. i especially loved the complimentary afternoon cake, a tender gesture after long walks. the breakfast was really the best part, with so many choices.
the lack of separation between the bathroom and the bedroom was a little strange. the glass shower offered very little privacy for friends sharing the superior double room. this.

The hotel provided excellent access to the riverside promenade, i enjoyed the proximity to the douro river. the staff offered attentive service. breakfast had various options. I found it satisfying.
The street noise was noticeable during the night. It slightly impacted sleep quality.

my room has no ac. i asked many times to get it fixed. the receptionist said that is not possible since we are in winter. the room is hot.

I found the hotel near shops and many restaurants. Free coffee and tea were available all day with fresh cakes. Breakfast included individual bottles of orange juice and butter. This was a stylish touch. The design features inside the building were trendy, bright, and very clean.
There was no separation between the bathroom and the bedroom.
